Gründe warum eine mittelfristige Nutzung von Straßen für den Individualverkehr und deren Ausbau, globale Machtgefälle, z.B. neokoloniale Strukturen und Rassismus stabilisieren:
– Rohstoffabbau/ Gewinnung für alle Autos: Verbrenner, wie E-Autos und Wasserstoffautos sind auf neokoloniale Strukturen angewiesen. (Ohne Ausbeutung von Mensch und Natur in Ländern die von Europa kolonialisiert waren, wären Rohstoffe und damit Autos nicht bezahlbar.)
– Die Produktion von Autos, die in der EU genutzt werden, passiert zu einem großen Teil in osteuropäischen, (Nicht-EU-) Ländern, unter schlechten Arbeitsbedingungen. Damit werden Machtgefälle zwischen Ost und West aufrecht erhalten.
– Die Automobil- und Bauindustrie sind wichtige Stützen des Kapitalismus. Da der Kapitalismus maßgeblich aus kolonialen Strukturen hervorgegangen ist und nur dank neokolonialer Strukturen fortbestehen kann, ist es ein zutiefst rassistisches System.
– Kapitalismus ist einer der wichtigsten Motoren für die Klimakrise und – da auf Ausbeutung und Neokolonialismus angewiesen – der wichtigste Grund für Klimaungerechtigkeit.
– Der Verkehrssektor und davon der Individual- verkehr sind für einen großen Teil des CO2-Ausstoßes im Globalen Norden verantwortlich. Dies weiter auszubauen verschärft die Klimakrise und Klimaungerechtigkeit, da die Folgen am stärksten Menschen im Globalen Süden treffen.
Solidarität an alle Menschen, die von rassistischen, neokolonialen Strukturen unterdrückt werden sollen. Solidarität an alle schon immer dagegen Kämpfenden! Danke, dass wir Konzepte von euch lernen konnten! Kampf allen neokolonialen Strukturen! Gegen jeden Straßenausbau!

Reasons why the use of roads even in medium-term for private transport and their expansion stabilize global power imbalances, e.g. neo-colonial structures and racism:
– Raw material mining/ extraction for all cars: combustion engines, such as e-cars and hydrogen cars rely on neocolonial structures. (Without the exploitation of people and nature in countries that were colonized by Europe, raw materials and therefore cars would not be affordable).
– The production of cars that are used in the EU takes place to a large extent in Eastern European (non-EU countries) under poor working conditions. This maintains power imbalances between East and West.
– The automotive and construction industries are important pillars of capitalism. Since capitalism has emerged largely from colonial structures and can only continue to exist thanks to neo-colonial structures, it is a deeply racist system.
– Capitalism is one of the most important drivers of the climate crisis and, because it relies on exploitation and neo-colonialism, the most important cause of climate injustice.
– The transportation sector, including private transport, is responsible for a large proportion of CO2 emissions in the Global North. Expanding this further exacerbates the climate crisis and climate injustice, as the consequences hit people in the Global South the hardest.
Solidarity to all people who are to be oppressed by racist, neo-colonial structures. Solidarity to all those who have always fought against it!
